Hi, I'm Justin N.. I'm an IT systems engineer, and I manage Microsoft 365, Intune, and Microsoft Entra ID day to day.

I started AdminPlainly to write the guides I wished existed for small offices: plain-English, step-by-step setups for businesses that pay for Microsoft 365 but don't have an IT department to configure it.

Why this site exists

Small businesses pay for Microsoft 365 Business Premium and often never turn on the security they're paying for. Microsoft's documentation is thorough but written for enterprises. These guides scale enterprise practice down to a 5–50 person office.

How I write these guides

• Steps are checked against Microsoft's current documentation, and each guide shows the date it was checked.
• Where I'm describing my own approach or opinion, I say so.
• I don't publish made-up statistics, testimonials, or "case studies."
• Guides are about general practice, never about any employer's environment.
